Build an online business that pays you while you sleep

Despite what gurus tell you, you don’t just start a blog, sit back, and magically watch the money roll in.

To show you how to do all this, I have free video where I take you behind the scenes of how I went from selling a $4.95 ebook to launching a multimillion-dollar business. Just enter your name and email below to watch it.

Take a behind-the-scenes look into how to turn a blog into a multimillion-dollar business

Today’s question is from Lakey. He asks:

“What are some of the best ways to make money in blogging?”

I’ve tried many different ways. You’ve probably heard these things before: affiliates, products, ads, email sponsorships, and millions of other things.

I’m going to tell you a couple that tend to work very well.

Trading income for time isn’t a bad thing

A great way to make money with your blog is through coaching.

This might surprise you. You might be thinking, “What? I want passive income. I don’t want to trade income for time.”

Stop thinking like that!

Guess what? Almost everybody trades income for time. I make passive income, and I’m still sitting here writing and recording videos. I love what I do.

Coaching can work really well because people come to you.

You have some sort of expertise or interest. It could be personal finance, fitness, Excel consulting, or training dogs. Who knows.

The important thing is, these are all skills people will hire you for. You can do it through Skype, email, phone, or in person, whatever works best.

The great thing about coaching is that, if you have a skill that’s in demand, you will always have ongoing revenue. It also doesn’t cost anything to get started. You don’t need to build an email funnel and all that stuff. It just works.

A lot of coaches that I know charge $100, $200, even $500 or more an hour. It can be lucrative.

Transition to helping people at scale

After you’ve been coaching for a while and helping clients, you might want to look into creating online products.

I’ve created more than 20 successful online products. Their prices range from $100 to $25,000. It’s hard work, but when you can get it right, it’s amazing. You can wake up in the morning, look at your phone, and see that you made $6,000 overnight.

That’s extremely powerful. If you choose to go on vacation, your business will continue to run because you’ve set up systems that all feed on each other.

What that means is that you write an email funnel and a sales page, and put a fulfillment system in place. Then you set it and forget it. It’ll continue to make you money until you pull the plug on it.

The best part? You’re helping people at scale. You’re reaching way more than you ever could as a solo coach.
