Here’s today’s question:
“What do I need to do to create my first website?”
Good news. You don’t need to be a tech wiz to get a website up and running. And, you actually don’t need to pay a developer. You can do that later, but for now I recommend that you try to do everything on your own. It’s not that hard.
- Get a domain name. Pick a name. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
- Sign up for web hosting. I recommend WP Engine. I don’t have any particular relationship with them, but I think they’re great.
- Build your website. I recommend WordPress. Again, I have no relationship with them.
- Design. I recommend a template called Genesis.
